PRINCE OF TENNIS

heyo, this is azn with his favorite anime to talk about...Prince of Tennis. i remember first hearing about it an was skeptical about how good an anime based on tennis could be...well needless to say i was put in my place since this is one of my favorite animes. i'm an avid tennis fan and watching it most of it is pretty accurate in terms of rules, gaming and stuff but of course since it's an anime it's got some physics-defying tennis shots...check it out it's quite interesting (it's also got some occasional tidbits for you to learn...like the different b/w eastern and western grips, how to topspin and slice stuff like that)

i really like the manga but not too into the anime.

haha i agree tha manga's pretty good but i also liked the anime as you are able to see their special tennis shots in action...like actually seeing the tezuka zone pulling the ball towards him or seeing fuji's tsubame gaeshi glide along the ground...but yeah the manga's quite nice


BTW anyone check out that PoT live action movie thati was hearing about...i saw trailers which looked ok...of course the actors don't look that much like the anime characters but it's close enough and the voices are actually pretty good all things considered...yeah just putting that out

The "snake grippu"! xD I used to watch Prince Of Tennis up to ep 50 or so. I started watching just because I was mad for One Piece being licensed, and Kaizoku Fansubs were to stop subbing it! xD So I started watching a tennis anime instead... ^^; But i remember it was pretty good, so maybe I should start watching again. How many episodes are they up to now?

technically the anime is done with 178 episodes made but there's an OVA being made about the nationals tournament of which i've only seen up to ep 3 of
